While attending Waterdown in May of 1977 (47 years ago), the day featured bright sunshine and warm temperatures. The cars came out in droves, with lots of newly finished vehicles constantly pulling into Memorial Park in Waterdown, Ontario. As it was every spring, the mood was festive and light hearted, as enthusiasts enjoyed seeing the cars and catching up with old friends. The good feelings all seemed to come to an immediate stop throughout the park when everyone heard the unmistakable sounds of a car crash just outside the grounds. I was close to the entrance gates, taking pictures of custom cars as they entered the park, so I ran towards the nearby intersection to find out what had happened and if I could be of any help. In the middle of the street was this green Model A Cabriolet with the front end twisted and bent. The driver of the Model A was not behind the wheel when I arrived, so I didn’t know of their health status. I don’t recall seeing another vehicle that had been hit, and to this day, I have never known anything else about this incident. However, I did take this picture. Does anyone out there have any more info on this car?
